The lever ratio of an x-type gun can be found by dividing the distance from the fulcrum point to the weld centerline by the distance from the fulcrum point to the actuator centerline. Note that both distances should be measured perpendicular to the axis (weld axis / actuator axis) centerlines.

The tip opening of the gun should be measured inline with the weld axis of the gun from the fixed tip to the movable tip at full open. This measurement should not be done at the angle between the tips when the gun is in the open position.
